Frederick, MD (April 14, 2022) – The Frederick ALPB club is pleased to announce that we will host media day on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium.

Media availability with Frederick players and coaches who have arrived by then will be made available from 10 AM – 1 PM and will be done in person at Nymeo Field.
All requests to attend media day must be submitted by Wednesday, April 19 at 4:00 PM. Please contact Jake Ness to let him know if you are attending and who you would like to talk to by emailing him at jness@frederickkeys.com.

The following set of guidelines will be used for media wishing to cover a game in 2023:

2023 CREDENTIALS: Media members who cover the team on a consistent basis may apply for and receive a yearly credential to cover the team. Credentials are for members of the working media ONLY and can be revoked at any time. All requests should go through Jake Ness by emailing jness@frederickkeys.com. Credentials are approved on a case-by-case basis and are prohibited from being shared.

DAILY CREDENTIALS: Individuals who do not cover the team on a regular basis may be granted a daily credential by emailing Jake Ness at jness@frederickkeys.com. All requests MUST be made at least 24 hours beforehand by EMAIL ONLY.

ADMISSION: Working media members can enter the ballpark through the main entrance at Nymeo Field (located on Stadium Drive). Credentials can be picked up at will-call, located to the right of the main gate.

VIDEO TAPING: Video taping during games is limited to designated filming areas of Nymeo Field. News gathering organizations who want to shoot video before the game, must receive approval from the Frederick ALPB Public Relations Department.

PHOTOGRAPHY: Credentialed photographers may shoot from either the first or third base camera wells. Photographers must remain behind the screen at all times and off the field of play. Individuals are prohibited from entering the dugout area during games.

FIELD LEVEL: Only credentialed media members are allowed on the field before the game. While on the field, media must remain on the warning track and off the grass. All media must clear the field one hour before the game.

CLUBHOUSE: The clubhouse will not be open to media members following each Frederick ALPB home game like in previous years. The clubhouse is to be entered only by players, coaches, and authorized Frederick ALPB front office staff. Players are to be given a 15-minute “cool down” period at the end of each game. You can then proceed to the double doors outside the clubhouse and wait there for a Frederick ALPB staff member to assist with player interviews. There is no pregame availability unless prior arrangements have been made with the Frederick ALPB PR staff, Jake Ness. Availability to players and staff come at the discretion of the Frederick ALPB Field Staff and PR Department and cannot always be guaranteed.

PRESS BOX: The press box is located on the main concourse across from the main gate. This space is for members of the working media only. Spouses, boyfriends/girlfriends, children and pets are not allowed in this area. The Frederick ALPB press box is open for one hour after the game.

STATISTICS & INFORMATION: Game notes, statistical information and lineups can be found in the press box. Media members in need of other materials before the game should contact the Frederick ALPB PR Department. To be added to the 2023 Media Email list, email jness@frederickkeys.com

INTERVIEWS: Player or coach interviews are available both before and after the game. All pregame interviews must be arranged with the Frederick ALPB PR staff at least 24 hours ahead of time. No player or coaching staff interviews will be granted on team off-days.

AUTOGRAPHS: Members of the media are prohibited from seeking autographs at Nymeo Field. Disobeying this rule may result in credential revocation.
